As with many electronic devices, if you are experiencing an issue with the device it may be resolved by turning the device off and back on again, by holding and pressing the start button. If this does not resolve the issue, then pushing the reset button may. You will need to re-input some settings, such as the date and time.
If you wish to check the status of all inputs to the Log4 device, you can use the self-test procedure. This is as follows:
Push the reset button.
While the splash screen is still showing, press and hold the menu button until you hear the alarm sound. This will put the device into self-test mode.
Follow the on-screen prompts and ensure you observe the response stated on screen.
Once the test is complete, push the reset button again.
If you find that the Log4.Desktop Application does not automatically start streaming data, try any of these steps.
Check it again with another USB cable
Close the Log4.Desktop Application first and restart it
Set a higher sampling period (>=100ms)
If using Windows 7 or 8, you have to manually download and install FTDI driver.
